When does
Plain Game reset?

A new daily flight opens at midnight in New York, using America/New_York. That is 04:00 UTC during New York daylight-saving time and 05:00 UTC during standard time.

The game home screen also shows a countdown.

Your browser’s date and time are used for this display. The daily flight uses the New York game calendar.

Why is my local date different?

The game date is the date in New York, not the date on each player’s phone. If it is October 25 at 02:00 UTC, it is still October 24 in New York, so the October 24 flight is still the shared daily game. Everyone receives the same daily route for that game date.

Your local reset time can change when New York or your own region changes its clocks. Singapore, for example, sees a 12:00 noon reset during New York daylight time and 13:00 during standard time. Use the conversion above instead of assuming one UTC offset all year.

If your displayed countdown looks wrong, check your device’s date and time settings. Refreshing the page does not generate different daily questions or restart an active question’s clock.

Where are today’s Plain Game answers?

Each answer is revealed after you submit or the question ends. The public Plain Game Archive publishes completed days only, after the next New York midnight. It does not publish the current day’s answers early.

The archive began on October 24, 2026. The index lists the most recent 90 completed days when that many exist. It is a place to read questions, closest answers and sources, not a way to replay a ranked daily attempt. Your own completed flight has a Review flight action on its result screen.

For another playable route today, choose repeatable practice. It has its own questions and does not overwrite your daily score.

What counts as my daily attempt?

A daily flight has seven rounds: five ask you to name something near a target, and two ask for a numerical estimate. Each round has a 30-second answer clock. The first accepted answer is final; an unrecognized name leaves the round open while the timer continues.

Your first server-scored daily attempt is used for daily group standings. You can resume an unfinished attempt, but refreshing or switching tabs does not pause an active question. Between reveals and the next round, no question clock is running. Finishing seven answer clocks takes at most three and a half minutes; reading reveals adds time.

To count toward your crew’s shared daily check-in, finish before that New York day ends. Do not rely on starting just before midnight to count for the next day. Read the game rules or see how accuracy and time drift affect altitude.

Streaks, freezes and reminders

Completed daily games build your streak. Every seven played days in an unbroken streak earn one freeze, up to two held. A missed day spends a freeze automatically if one is available: it preserves the streak but does not count as a played day. Practice, event stages and reading the Archive are not extra daily check-ins.

Open Settings → Daily reminders & install to choose an available browser reminder or download a calendar event. Browser reminders depend on support and permission and skip a day you have completed. A calendar event repeats regardless of play. Reminder options and recovery steps.
